About Me

Rob ('78) is a Belgian, Bilzen based guitar and double bass player.

He studied guitar with Jan Formannoy (NL) at Conservatorium Maastricht for his Bachelors degree from 1999 until 2003, and later returned to Maastricht for his Masters degree in jazz double bass with Philippe Aerts (B) from 2012 until 2016.

Between 2006 and 2015, Rob was often to be found working as a freelance sound engineer and producer at Artsound Recording Studio, Houthalen-Helchteren (B) and recorded several national and international clients. He is now taking a long pauze from engineering to focus on playing and composing, but will certainly be behind the mixing desk again somewhere in the future.
